“Good quality price but needs hard cleaning”

Location is great, plenty or parking space and at a walking distance of several restaurants, 20 minutes away from some great beaches. Staff was in general attentive and breakfast was incredibly good for the price, which is competitive.

To be improved

I cannot rate it higher as there were some things that are a red line for me. They sent the house rules in advance which is great, but didn’t mention the dog couldn’t enter the dinning room. As the dog cannot stay alone in the room it meant my wife and I couldn’t have breakfast together… most important, toilet, which is separated from the room, wasn’t at all hygienic. There were at every moment around 20 flies inside… spider webs that haven’t been cleaned in years, an empty hand soap dispenser and a moldy shower curtain. There is a cost per dog in order to clean the room, but there were hairs from previous stays. The windows won’t hold any noise, and having the hostel a terrace and a bar, you can hear until late every conversation as if they were in your room.

“We were very well welcomed. Room had comfortable bed, breakfast was simple but very tasteful. Parking next door and great views. On the ground floor there is a bar with live music during some evenings, we enjoyed it a lot.”

“Cozy, serene with very nice host”

The best

We had a very lovely one night stay. The cozy little town of San Esteban is just beautiful. We had a small 2 person room, but with an amazing terrace with view at the marina and to the forest behind us. And the best part was our really nice host, Hector. Although we didn’t understand each other that much because of the language barrier, he and his colleague woke up really early next day, came all the way from another town and made us breakfast because we had to leave early. And after we checked out he even got us a ride to our starting point on our Camino trail. Thank you again for everything, it was much appreciated! 🙏🏻

To be improved

The bed was screeching bad if you turned from one side to another, which made sleep a little uncomfortable.

We liked the garden from our room 66. It was amaizing to have garden on the second floor!
