Cas rellotger country house

House was not cleaned properly. Old spiderwebs and spidernests on the ceiling. Hairs on the floor and in the bed. Stained towels. Chairs around table inside cannot be used as they are all kind of damaged or broken. Fireplace was locked - but it was the reason we bood the house as it was winter and very cold. Kitchenware all not clean. Parts of fridge broken. A lot of things are too old (doors, cupboards). In one corner of the roof water was entering and slowly dripping down when raining. Pool not cleaned, outside area looked abandoned, overgrown since a long time. Overall - just not well kept. One can realise that this object is a cash cow. No communication beforehand. I got lots of standard messages. Payment was in different rates and very confusing. But my questions were never answered. Rubbish situation is the worst. You have to get rid of your rubbish on your own otherwise you will be charged a fine! What????? This is insane and has nothing to do with hospitality. The rubbish system is again complicated. We drove down to El Arenal to a gas station to get rid of the rubbish with a rented car just before the flight. Absolutely a no-go. The system might be easy for locals, but not visitors.

It would have been handy to have had more cleaning fluids etc and a hoover, but these are minor points. The air conditioning kept going off so I didn’t use it in the end. It was difficult to get rid of the rubbish . The map on the fridge was too small to read.
