Casa al volcán de Lajares

This house has a serious and alarming ant infestation. There are ants in every room, including the kitchen and bathroom. We even found them in the bed. We spent every morning and evening spraying the house, trying to control them but we would just find them in a different location. We couldn’t even relax on the couch because there were ants crawling on it. I found cockroaches in the kitchen. When we informed the owner of the ants and cockroaches, he was not concerned at all. He said it was the weather. He gave us a spray and shrugged his shoulders. We did not enjoy our stay because we spent the majority of our time dealing with the ant infestation, a job the owner should take responsibility for. The house needs to be professionally fumigated and not rented out until it is. We have stayed in six different properties in Fuerteventura and never had to deal with ants or cockroaches. It is completely unacceptable to take money from your guests and not to do the basics, which include providing an insect free property. Overall, the owner isn’t interested in the comfort of his guests or the quality of their stay.
