The outside of the buildings on the entire urbanisation are pretty. They remind me of Dubai.
The owner Lindsay was rude and intrusive. There are cameras in the bedrooms and bathroom. The owner came to the property most days to check up on us with her spare keys, often walking in on us asleep when she arrived at 7am one morning. The lock on the childrens room window is broken and won’t lock so it’s not safe. The bedding was incredibly dirty and needed washing. She turned off the water supply to the washing machine, even though it’s advertised that you can use it for free. The air conditioning and heating remotes were removed before we arrived “just incase we used them and cost her money”. Upon arrival the electric and water meters were checked and we weren’t allowed to leave until she was satisfied the house was clean. We were asked to clean the house from top to bottom, wash the bedding (which we did anyway the day after we arrived because the house was disgusting, dirty and dusty) We had to wash the table cloths, the bedding, the towels, because they all had stains and dirty marks on them. You don’t get any extra towels for the pool, just enough for the adults but not children. The pool area was very dirty, the pool chairs were covered in bird poo and bat poo. We found a dead bat in the garden. The flies land on you all day long - there’s no stopping them. The patio doors at the front of the house don’t lock which isn’t safe. She asked us for 500 euros even though we paid booking.com in full, up front upon booking. She wouldn’t let us in without the cash but refused to give a receipt. After speaking with booking.com they told her she had to take a bank transfer or give a receipt for cash for this “damage and water payment” which we begrudgingly paid but we did get it back 6 weeks after we checked out after threatening legal action. She said she would meet us at 11am but she didn’t arrive until 7pm. We couldn’t get hold of her, yet when booking.com contacted her she lied and said we weren’t there!
