“Great location and staff but sleeping was kind of tough”

The staff helpful . The rooms are big. The location is very good and safe. the breakfast is nice.

To be improved

The gym is not well equipped and no AC in summer. The rooms are noisy from engine AC. The pillows are either too big or too small. The decoration colors make the room very dark and sad, all in black and greys .

During our stay a maine water pipe to the hotel needed to be prepared and the water was shut off to the hotel. We where not warned and when we needed to change (shower brush our teeth etc) we couldn’t and had to leave hotel for an appointment without showering. Not pleasant. We where also not advised when it came back on but it did. Thankfully. Finally when we checked out there was no mention of it - no apology, curtesy gesture, nothing at all. This I found could have been handled differently or at least acknowledged with more empathy. It might not have been the hotel’s fault but it’s certainly not of the paying customer either and not recognizing the inconvenience felt like we carried the burden on our own.

The best

The hotel is 3-4 minutes leisure walk from multiple metro stations and bus stops. You need just one transfer to reach it from the airport. So, the location is quite convenient. The room was spacious, well though-out, with multiple electrical outlets. The bed was enormous and the mattress was firm but comfortable. There were all required amenities, and the shower was wonderful. The sound isolation was good. The pictures correctly represent the truth. Wi-Fi was quick and reliable. The personnel was polite, friendly, and helpful. The absolute delight was finding out that the room has Bluetooth speakers! Yes, you can connect your phone to the (very nice sounding) room speakers and listen to exactly the music you want. There's a speaker even in the bathroom. I was able to check-in a lot earlier than the official hours, which was a very nice bonus. The breakfast is very tasty and enough. It's a-la-carte, but well though-out. Especially the vegan option was fabulously delicious.

To be improved

Keep in mind that all my complains are extremely insignificant - I am splitting hairs here. The hotel is in between some important government building, so you have to walk around some heavily armored dudes (kind of weird but I cannot blame the hotel per se). The biggest problem was that the wardrobe is just tiny. I traveled alone and was barely able to fit my luggage. If you are a couple or a family, you'll struggle. Another slight issue is that due to the strong artificial outside light during the night, you need to use the blackout curtains, and then in the morning your brain thinks it's still night. Nothing fatal, though. Also, the handles for controlling the shower were made of heavy marble and were extremely awkward to operate with soapy hands. At the end, the hotel is nice, the location is nice, the staff is nice, the breakfast is nice. You won't make a mistake booking it.
