“Bright, quiet and cosy”
The best

The flat was spacious (we were just two of us), well-equiped and designed with taste. You could see the ocean 180 degrees around. It was also very quiet. It takes ca. 25 min. to get down by car to the Northern coast and ca. 1 hour to reach the magnificent Tejeda mountains (Pico de las Nieves, etc). The owner is very friendly and helpful.

To be improved

As it has been noted in earlier reviews, the road access is not an easy one, but one gets used to that and the local drivers show great consideration.

The best

Unbeatable location if you like a calm place out of the busy touristic areas. Amazing facilities, spotless clean, beautiful view. 10+

To be improved

Check all facilities and take pics to prove your points, since the host requires a monetary deposit in case of any damages, which is fair to ask. At the end of our stay some small kitchen items were missing, which is still a mystery to us, but luckily the host was very understanding and everything was solved without any issue.

The best

Everything was absolutely perfect, the house was equipped with everything you need. Kitchen facilities were excellent. Dishes, cutlery, everything was quite a lot. The view is really great. Several different rooms, including a fireplace room with a wonderful view and a dining room! There was a feeling of staying in a real country cottage.

To be improved

Maybe the road to the house is not the easiest for a continental European, the road is narrow and not lit at night. There were some broken tiles in the shower room, but it absolutely did not disturb the rest in the house.

The best

We loved every corner of this house. I don’t know how to discribe this place - it is a real paradise, a 5 star hotel equivalent or even better. This was the best stay in my entire life tbh. If you want to work remotely and have an amazing place to stay, just book Casa Azuaje. It has everything you need and more! You don’t have to leave the flat even. We also could discover north Gran Canaria (went to Galdar museum, Agaete, Las Palmas, El Puertillo, Moya, Tilos de Moya). The kitchen is my dream kitchen with a breathtaking view with windows all around. The bathroom is like a luxus spa. The bed supercomfi. Its a rural house but modern made. There is a huge terrace with sunbeds and a table for dining - some geccos are joining you to check up on your dinner. It is quiet, no stupid tourists whatsoever. There was a way down (pedestrian path) from the hill which was sometimes challenging but i loved it. I could “exercise” and down at the hill there is an amazing natural swimming pool. I took the bus to go to las palmas and el puertillo. Was supereasy and quick. You don’t necessarily need a car. Fernando was supernice and helpful! We regret that we left this great place for maspalomas. We are already missing it…

We did NOT STAY at this property. I have written to booking.com wishing to cancel the stay immediately. NO REPLY WAS GIVEN. The state the property was in WAS UNACCTEPTABLE.

The location was a BUILDING SITE. The proprietor was still working in it. On our arrival, when we tried to open the door with the key from the keybox, he opened the door from the inside in working clothes. Unfinished kitchen, unfinished electricity (cables hanging out of the walls), unfinished walls. Everything was VERY DIRTY. The floor was very dirty. The furniture was on a heap and very dusty. Some bedding or towels were hanging on lines in crumps. Working utensil were lying around everywhere. Even the balcony was dirty and the furniture in a heap. When we wanted to take photos the proprietor denied entry and said this was not necessary. The proprietor is a very dishonest person. He said we should speak to booking.com about the cancellation! He could not see a reason why we wanted to cancel! At one point he said, ok, he would give back the money for the first night, because the location was not ready! On the website it says usual arrival between 14.00 and 15.00. We arrived at 17.00 - the proprietor said this was way too early!!!!! We were under shock when we saw the property! In more than 10 years of being a customer with booking.com something like that has never happened!!! We wish the complete money to be returned! I wrote to booking.com for help two times and got no reply. THIS WAS OUR WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! We wanted to stay for our most important holiday in the year - for 3 weeks! This was impossible. This was a very bad experience.
