Issues with hot water WiFi was poor Next door neighbours having major renovations carried out and zero privacy mon-Friday whilst work was being carried out. No curtains in main bedroom, workmen on roof and could see right into bedroom. Upstairs heating didn’t work sir was chilly in evening in bedrooms.

Casa Batman is in an ideal location for both the old town and beach. The views from the roof terrace are magnificent.

To be improved

The only potential problem could be access to roof terrace as it’s via a spiral staircase outside which would be a worry with children and impossible for anyone not fit.

“If you're looking for a convenient, quiet, relaxing place in Altea, this is the place for you.”

The best

This is a wonderful house in a very convenient area in Altea. We loved spending time on the roof terrace overlooking the water, and enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stay for almost a week. We had plenty of privacy within the house, and the kitchen is quite nice. The beach and the old town are only a short walk away, and there is a small 24 hour market just around the corner with pretty much everything you could need. Maria was a great host as well, she left us a bottle of wine and some coffee to enjoy during our stay, which was a really nice touch.

To be improved

We only had a few minor issues with this stay. The wifi was spotty and had to be restarted frequently in order to get a decent connection throughout our trip. We also ran out of gas for the stove before our trip was over; we were able to get it replaced, but it did take a little longer than expected. All in all, very minor issues and generally we had a great experience.

Casa Barman is in a fantastic location close to the sea and the old town. The roof terrace is lovely and has fantastic panoramic views. The house is clean and full of character
