“We recommend it anyone who want a spacious house near the beach.”
We arrived 02:30 so the host offered to leave the key in the door, which was fine as there was a closed door to the private courtyard at the front of the house. This reduce the stress out of arriving very late. Our host was very nice and responsive via Whatsapp. The house is close to the beach behind Alferez restaurant and there was always a spot to park the car down the side dirt road off the busy beach road. In fact you can hear the waves washing onto the beach because you can have the windows opened because of the mosquito net.
One of the single beds had a plastic protector making it sweaty to sleep on the first night. We removed it so it was no longer an issue. The other protectors did not make us sweaty. It would be nice to have somewhere proper like a line or cloth dryer to hang out to dry our beach towels and beach wear instead of over the chairs.
“A Disappointing Vacation”
The house has a great terrace with a big table where you can enjoy your meals. Breakfast outside was especially nice. There’s also a chill spot in the corner with a sofa and a small table, perfect for coffee or a siesta. The decor is really cool, mixing vintage and modern elements. The beds and pillows were super comfy. The location is pretty good too, not far from the beach or the restaurants and cafes.
The master bedroom faces an interior patio with a dog that barked non-stop, especially early in the morning, every day of our stay. We could hear the owner trying to calm the dog down without success, so the barking became our 7:30 am alarm. The house is next to a family member of the owner, and they share a door inside the patio. The walls between the houses are very low, so there's no privacy at all when you're on the terrace. The toilet was infested with winged ants and other bugs, even though we never opened the window. This problem was especially bad in the late afternoon and night, making it very uncomfortable to use the toilet. We also encountered another bug issue. Above the sofa, there is a glass cabinet filled with mini collectible cars. When we turned on the light in the late afternoon, within a few hours, the cabinet and the toilet were swarming with bugs.
“Very good”
“Quiet place 2 minutes away from a beautiful beach”
The owner replied really quick and explained about the house in detail. It’s a pretty location with surfers and wild atmosphere. The garden has all you need and gives privacy. The small shower outside is perfect once you come back from the beach. The house is well equipped and shops and restaurants are only a few minutes away.
