“A charming house in the centre of Cañete la Real.”
The house was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything you might need. Pedro, the host met us on arrival and took a lot of care to show us around the house and to explain the facilities re the heating etc. Communication with Pedro was excellent beforehand, during our stay, and afterwards and he patiently answered any questions we had about our stay. The location of the house is perfect, in the centre of the village and within minutes of walking to the bars and restaurants, the convent, the churches and the castle. The beds were comfy and the little garden was charming. There are two bathrooms and the house is also very well provided with books, games, extra blankets, etc as well as heating for the colder months. Overall a fantastic stay and we will return.
Nothing - everything was perfect.
“Passable”
The host, Pedro, showed us around the property and gave us local information. He was available at any time if needed.
1. The property is built on a hill so it has steps between (almost) every room. Some of these steps are quite high and uneven, making the property unsuitable for people with mobility problems. There is certainly no wheelchair access, which we didn't know before arriving. 2. There was no hot water in the downstairs bathroom which means anyone with mobility problems needs to climb the stairs to take a shower. 3. Pedro is a great host but the house could be better stocked with basics in the kitchen (for example there are no wine glasses and a very limited choice of pots and pans).
