Casa Blanca Las Canteras

I've been holding off writing this review simply because I get angry. This is not how a holiday rental should treat its customers, and it leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. Shame! I was just not going to write a review, but then something else happened... We were working during the day, so we didn't pay attention to the fact that the sink was blocked almost instantly (first night). We didn't really care, as it would drain in an hour or two or so (we were out the day) and it just needed some caustic soda. Coming from a hospitality background, we understood this. We never used the washing machine. So why am I mentioning this? After all, this was a nice place :) Because a little after we checked out. We got accused of blocking the sink and the washing machine (that we never even tried to use) and got accused of disrespecting the incoming guests as well as having an attitude problem - for us being tolerant of the hosts. Furthermore, we thought they were going to charge us for ruining the washing machine. According to the hosts, apparently, "the washing machine has powder detergent in the drawer, we use liquid detergent, it was blocked, and we couldn't start it." As I said, we had no need for the washing machine, but it wasn't checked from the last guests leaving, and if this was key information about the detergent, we should have known. We weren't told. but I'm telling you make sure you use liquid detergent if you use the washing machine. Today they refused to give me an invoice to put against my stay for tax purposes and told me to reach out to booking.com for an invoice on their commission of 46,50 Euros. This goes against Booking.com policy https://partner.booking.com/en-us/help/policies-payments/guest-payments/do-i-supply-guests-invoices and was the final straw. Hence I'm writing this review for you to know what to expect about the hospitality you can expect.

The noice was a bit disturbing and there was no AC therefore we sometimes had to keep balcony door open but then there was this noice. (The view is building on the other side of the street, you can though see a little bit of sea from the balcony). Anyway if you are not too sensitive with the noice, this can be good choice! 😊
