“Don't be fooled”

Great location and nice decoration as per the photos. Mattresses are OK. Wifi works well.

Double beds are 140 (2x) and 160 (1x) - too small for most people. Sofa is extremely uncomfortable. Don't pay extra for it. Hygiene is questionable - there is mold in the downstairs shower, which does not drain well. The downstairs bathroom vents into the downstairs bedrooms (you can't make this stuff up). Decoration is cheap, as are all furnishings - it looks nice but it's low quality. The bedrooms have no doors - which means you can kiss privacy goodbye, it's essentially a 3-story single room. 2 of the beds have no associated windows. It's not possible to air out the place. The terrace is great if you enjoy the thundering noise of the neighbors' rooftop AC unit. We had a leak in one of the bedrooms. There was no solution (unfortunately I cannot add videos) once the bed was wet. Electricity fails if you try to use several appliances at once. Don't plan to cook in the kitchen, there are few utensils and they are cheap quality. The knives don't cut and the corkscrew barely works. You can make cereal, but you can't cook a proper meal. The host does not know where to park, or how to take out the garbage. Has he every been to the apartment?

“Cute house on the most photographed street of the town”

The best

The house is in the centre of the castle area, on a very nice street and overlooks the sea. Beaches are within 10-12 minutes walk. It is nicely furnished and has all necessary appliances. Eduardo was available online whenever needed, showing very kind and helpful attitude. The only bitterness is that my mum lost her jewellery on the way from Peñíscola and she believes that she left it under the sofa pillows on the ground floor, however the cleaning staff did not confirm that they've found anything.

To be improved

All the bedrooms are on different floors.

“New year getaway, perfect start to 2025. Beautiful 3 story house in Peniscola Castle grounds.”

The best

Location is perfect , 2 bathrooms ideal for 5 people , facilities are good and staff were really helpful. I would book again as long as I could sleep on the ground floor as the stairs were steep.

To be improved

My husband and I are over 70 and the stairs to each level are steep. Fortunaly there are is a bedroom and bathroom on the ground level that was perfect for us.
