Cleanliness of the pool house and the kitchen has almost everything you need. Great property.

To be improved

We found that the temperature of the water from the shower was inconsistent. However, this seemed to improve by the end of the stay.

The house and garden match the photos. It is a large house and very well-equipped, particularly the kitchen area. The garden is very well-kept, with some lovely plants/trees and views down to the sea. The owners/managers were very responsive via WhatsApp to any questions Good Wi-Fi although the cable TV was mostly German channels

What is not mentioned in the description is that the house is 400m above sea level. This meant that, at this time of year, the outside temperature never went above 16 or 17 degrees, whereas on the coast it was between 19 and 21 degrees. The property was quite often in the clouds. On the coast people were swimming and sunbathing, but we could not use the pool as there is no pool heater, it was too cold and could not sit outside for any meals. It ought to be specified in the description that the pool is not useable in the winter. The owners kindly left 4 electric radiators in the house, but this was not adequate to keep it very warm, given that there are no curtains in the rooms (except one) or rugs on the tiled floors. The temperature at night drops to 9 degrees. Luckily, there was warm bedding and plenty of hot water. We felt that the property is not ideally suitable if your idea is to stay and relax and get some winter sun, but more suited just as a base camp for going off and exploring. In the summer months, it is no doubt amazing.

“Geweldige vakantie gehad in Finca 46 Casa Carrillo”
The best

The house is very comfortable. All the things you need are there. It's a very quite place. the only thing you hear are the birds;) Marian (host) is helpfull and you can text her if you have questions. In the neighborhoud is a supermarket on 6 minutes drive (SPAR), a gym (very good one!) and a lovely restaurant (Andares). We loved the place & definitely come back!!!
