Casa Cernicalo

We arrived by car, you need a car if you're booking this property. It is the worst property we have stayed in. First thoughts on entering the property, there is a huge palm tree in the garden the electricity cables/phone cables are running straight through it sagging the tree it needs cutting down unbelievable safety issue. The entry system is a code they give you via WhatsApp. From reading previous reviews 1/2yrs ago there is still an issue with the front door and light switches you still can't open the door fully and the light switches are still not fixed it's hot and needs to be opened. We looked out of the back door and were greeted by a neighbour who said the washing machine is shared, old wood and items out back need cleaning up. The property is old and is crying out for desperate renovation a damp smell. Bring your cleaning products and shower products they say free on the site but cheap stuff to use and used products left from previous clients, only one towel each in the shower area, the shower curtain needs sorting out. The water pressure in both areas is terrible. Light switches are not working properly no outside light some pitiful solar lights. Microwave 1970s style should be condemned, inside kitchen cupboards smell terrible 😳 We did not eat in this property. Windows are still not fixed anyone can enter at any time it is a safety issue. The outside patio was not swept on our arrival. The doormat needs to be in the bin. Outside in the garden area also old wood and stuff that needs cleaning away. There are only 2 heavy and old chairs and a round table which is ready to collapse there are no sun loungers it is very uncomfortable if you book 3 guests or more it looks like you're going to be sitting on each other's knees outside at this property.

The window in the bedroom could not be locked. Being on the ground floor, this was uncomfortable. The water pressure was sometimes too low for a decent shower/hair wash.

We stayed for 6 weeks, which was very enjoyable, but we had to share certain facilities, such as the washing machine, with guests staying in the attached house. These guests only stayed for short periods of time so we would have to give them, at our expense, washing M/C capsules etc. It should be very easy to fit a Washing Machine in the other house. Also the position of the M/C was directly outside our backdoor and therefore interupted our privacy should it be used by the other guests.

Parking could be limited. Bathroom was a bit smelly and the shower door/curtain wasn’t perfect. No electric kettle.
