“Great location and authentic feel”
The best

You can’t beat the location. Right in the heart of the Gothic Qtr and walking distance to La Rambla, Barcelona Cathedral and multiple plaza’s for eating and atmosphere.

To be improved

There are some steep stairs to access the apartment which won’t be for everyone but we managed fine.

“A decent value for a huge apartment VERY centrally located. Location/size are what sets this apart.”
The best

The place is VERY spacious and right in the middle of everything. We LOVED the location. I liked the kitchen. It had everything we needed. We were able to login to Netflix to watch movies. There were about 2 or 3 English stations on the TV, mostly news. I loved the little balcony (with one chair) overlooking a pedestrian walkway we faced. I loved how quiet it was despite being on a busy street. They have doors to the balcony with both glass and wood shutters so the noise suppression is excellent. My grown nephew loved the loft. It had stairs (no hand rail) going up to it and the bed was only about 14" off the floor, but it was like having a little mini suite for himself. He had his own bathroom and a little office with a desk. This is all in the rear of the apartment, just beyond the kitchen. The 3rd bedroom was in the middle and shared the bathroom with the main bedroom. It wa a nice room with twin beds. Loved the mix of bed and bedroom choices and having 2 bathrooms. We never used the 3rd bedroom. If location is important, I don't think you could get better than here. We were so close (7 or 8 mins.) to Boqueira Market, 5 minutes to La Ramblas, 4 mins. to Royal Square (try Les Quinze Nits restaurant....loved it...recommended by our foodie tour guide). I have been to BCN 4 times and really loved staying in the Gothic Quarter on a pedestrian street so close to everything. If you want ROOM as a high priority, I just can't see getting more room, this well located, for the price charged. I would DEFINITELY stay here again if/when I return to BCN.

I am very detail oriented so this long list isn't that negative, more informatiive. The apartment doesn't have much overhead lighting so it's a challenge to get enough light in the main bedroom or living room. It was hard to unpack. The wardrobe in the main (front) bedroom has a hanging section with the rod hanging front to back so it's far less efficient than if it were hung side to side. You can't see anything hung in the back. We couldn't find the fan switch. In the main bedroom it's in the front left corner, up high, right near the sliding doors. I tried for 10 minutes to find it, but my nephew spotted the switch. The AC is in the living room. If you want AC in the main bedroom, you have to sacrifice privacy and leave the sliding door open. I think there was an AC in the kitchen/DR, too. The apartment is on their 2nd floor (up to flights of stairs). They were a little on the small side so getting up luggage was a bit of a challenge. It's "normal" in Europe to have no elevator in an older building. The front door is loaded with graffiti, giving it a little sketchy look, but the unit was quiet and safe, as well as in an amazing location. I will never understand why Europeans, in general, think it's okay to NOT leave any instructions. There was also a little confusion on the use of the code given at check-in. We were told it only opened the apartment door at check-in. We used it all the 1st day. On the 2nd day, we tried and it didn't work. That's when we had to use the little key fob to get in. We did have a real key to open the outside door. That was left for us on day 1 inside the unit. We opened that door, day 1, with a code sent to our phone. On ANY area that's mostly for pedestrians, you may be left off 1 or 2 blocks from the apt. Same for pick up. NOT A BIG ISSUE except for elderly or infirmed.

“Overall this stay was traumatic and I encourages unless this situation can be sorted no one to book this apartment unles”

The property was close to central and had nice facilities

To be improved

There was an aggressive racist and discriminatory neighbour who threatened us throughout our stay we were not warned of her despite when calling security the casa cosi team said they have had continuous problems with this lady. Every single night of our stay this neighbour banged on our door and kicked our door so hard there was dents left on the door of apartment. The police were called and they took pictures of the door for evidence. She shouted rude and racist remarks at us and waited outside our door every time we left the apartment and was threatening. on the last night she dropped an unknown substance from her balcony on one of our guests and not once left us alone. We are group of six young girls and felt unsafe in a country we haven’t travelled to before the security were unable to help or calm down the situation and left us to take care of ourselves. We would not have booked this stay if we were aware and was gross negligence on the casa cosi team by not letting us know before booking with them. We felt scared and unsafe every single night and no one would help us. We were being recorded without our consent. This all happened without antagonisation and this behaviour was unprovoked we have recordings. Please see photo attached of one of our guests having substance dropped on her and the dents left on door by the incessant banging and kicking of our door to all hours of the night. And pictures of this woman outside with her phone recording us from the apartment.
