“A lovely, historic house on three levels with quick access to the port - a few details to improve.”
The best

This is a beautiful little historic house that has been restored with care, with original exposed stone, glass, and white walls. The location is excellent in a pretty square with a bar and quick access to the port. The house is spotlessly clean. The bedroom with bunks overlooks the square and has lots of character. The house has a light and airy feel and is very well equipped in general (microwave, washing machine, clothes drying rack, etc.), and the sofa-bed downstairs is comfy.

To be improved

These are mostly small details that will no doubt be improved over time, but... It was cold! However, the hosts did respond reasonably well and they had dropped off several very good-quality heaters by the second day. But of a two-day stay, one day was just too chilly. I think the possibility of ensuring a comfortable temperature where you're staying is a basic, but this property is new and I trust the owners will decide to keep this in mind in the future. The upstairs shower, while nice and hot and powerful, is very small and the base fills with water quickly, although this is probably easily solved. The property could do with perhaps providing a kettle (an essential for many non-Spaniards!) bathmats or similar for the bathrooms, and perhaps sponge/washing-up liquid/tea towel + small drying rack to stack clean plates and cups - something is likely to get smashed stacking straight onto the counter. There are no blankets if you get cold. I slipped on the varnished stairs in socks. It's a stunning character property with great use of space but as it's narrow and has two sets of stairs it's not suitable for guests with accessibility needs. The lighting in the bedrooms is cold hue bulbs rather than warm (maybe some people like that but it can make the rooms feel less welcoming) and smaller lamps were not provided when we stayed.
