“Not much to see in Fonfría, but this little establishment makes a perfect stop along the Camino. From here, you can walk”
Charming, comfortable, and warm, friendly owners. They also serve a nice meal at dinner, offer a 7 am breakfast option, and have great coffee.
Nothing.
“Excellent food and comfortable room”
Casa de Lucas was one of the most memorable places I stayed on the Camino. The rooms were excellent—clean, comfortable, and quiet—but what really stood out was the food. Every meal was exceptional, clearly made with care and local flavor. What made the stay truly special, though, was the woman who runs it all. She’s a one-woman army—friendly, organized, and seemingly everywhere at once. Everything ran smoothly and effortlessly, thanks to her. It’s rare to see that kind of dedication and warmth all in one place. A real gem on the Camino.
“Exceptional”
This place was wonderful. The woman running it was very kind and welcoming. She helped me out with a few things, such as borrowing a much needed pair of scissors. She made me a delicious lunch and dinner at a reasonable price. Highlights were the delicious soup, a wonderful mixed salad with a local cheese, and another local cheese with honey for dessert. My room was extremely clean, quiet, and comfortable. There is also laundry service for 4 euro. If you have a bad knee like me, I highly recommend this place to break up the downhill after O'Cebreiro.
“Was fine for one night”
Was clean . Met the need for overnight stay . Staff were lovely
The proximity to cow sheds and smell is so pungent . The whole town is same All a bit sterile like a boarding house
