“Quirky apartment with amazing view”
Amazing location with full on view from the terrace
“Exceptional”
“Charming home in lovely mountain village”
Charming appartment in lovely mountain village. Terrace with great view. Perfect for quiet holiday, yet close enough by car to all the sights of the island. Great restaurant downstairs. Spar supermarket just around the corner. Easy to have private parking. Very friendly host.
It might be nice to have a parasol on the terrace. It was too hot to sit outside sometimes.
“Best place to stay when you want to walk the ventral mountains of Gran Canaria”

“Lovely apartment in a great location.”
A comfortable and spacious apartment with a large terrace with superb views (see photos). We loved sitting out in the evening watching the sun set behind the mountains. The host called us the morning after we arrived to check that we'd got there okay and had everything we needed, which was nice. It was only a few minutes walk to a small selection of decent cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as a small supermarket that will likely have most everything you need. There is slightly tricky to access off-street private parking, but there always seemed to be plenty of easily accessible parking on the road by the apartment anyway. The hiking nearby was superb and I didn't get to try all of the trails I'd hoped during the week so I'll definitely be looking to go back again.
We arrived in the dark and navigating our way through the garden area to the property in the dark with our luggage was a bit of a challenge. Thank goodness for phone torches! It would be awesome if there was some shade on the terrace as it got very hot out there during the day (and we were only there in April!).
“We were looking forward to staying in Tejeda but this property was a great disappointment”
The village was lovely and the views were spectacular. We had a number of issues with the property that we contacted the owner and booking.com about. The owner arrived on the second day with heating engineers who cleaned the aircon filters and re-gassed the system which did improve the heating in the lounge and bedroom. As there is no heating provision in either the kitchen or bathroom the owner provided us with a small portable heater. It is fair to say that the weather was cold and at times wet during our stay. We advised the owner that we wished to curtail our stay and he agreed to refund us for the remaining 5 nights.
Hazardous access from parking area to house entrance; 4 of the 6 doors and entrances and the stairs to the second bedroom have very low heights; low light fittings in the lounge; dampness; ineffective heating except in main bedroom (there are only two aircon/heater units for the whole house, one in the double bedroom and the other in the lounge - from which much of the heat escapes upstairs through the large gaps in the floor boards and the stair opening; the property photos show a woodstove in the lounge but this was not available for use; uncomfortable bed; mould in shower, minimal hot water (not enough for one shower), no cupboard space to store food, minimal work-space to prepare food, sofa and armchairs have shabby and stained covers (didn't even want to try sitting on them); stained curtains in lounge; bizarre sliding door arrangement for access to bathroom - not easy to open & close.
