“The location is in the forest, yet still close to the city and the sea. There’s a pool and a beautiful view, plus a restaurant where we had an amazing dinner and breakfast · Cons: We had a very small room, and you could hear everything—even people walking in the hallway at night. The room smelled like the kitchen, and the ceiling was very low”

No water in the room in morning, pump was turned off - cam back on around 8:30 am after we asked staff about it. It was an honest mistake, but they should have considered doing something extra to compensate for this. Set menu still the same from one month ago - no change Off season so place was looking a bit run down in places before the season The music in the terrace and dining room was low quality sound and bad choice of pop music that didn't add anything to the atmosphere or the general feel of the beautiful setting. Change your music system and choices !

“Location, the hotel is a long way from the main road and is tricky to get to. The road is narrow, many bends pot holes and difficult to navigate. The room was clean and rustic, the bed and bedding were of the highest quality. Unfortunately there is no seating in the room and had to sit on the bed to get some seating. The finish within the rooms were of a high standard, but this hotel missed the basics. The lack of hot water on arrival, we had to request hot water and it was only tepid after waiting a few hours and then the water was still tepid and again in the morning, it was even worse and we could not shower before departure. I raised this point with the manageres who contacted the owner, who just gave petty excuses and no apology...this reason should raise an alert to future customers. There are better places, which supply hot water and listen to a genuine concern. Conclusion, it's expensive and the menu and drinks are even more expensive. I suggest to future customers that they ensure the costs are fully understood and request the menu prior to booking. The location, is definitely off the beaten track so ensure you do not use a small car such as a mini as you could ground the car. Would I go back, no definitely not....there are better hotels and restaurants within the Calp region and would recommend using them. Fellow travellers, I have given an honest opinion you have been advised, but don't use this hotel as you may be very disappointed as it fails to meet a travellers basic requirements.”

The location was great, and the room was lovely. The food in the restaurant was exceptional!

To be improved

There was an issue with the hot water, in that we had none for the entire stay. The hotel did know there was an issue and we’re waiting for engineers to fix their water heater. It also meant the radiators were not working, so the room was cold. These things happen unfortunately and we will definitely return when the hot water is back on!
