The view from the living room window is wonderful, the rooms, beds, bathrooms, etc. were comfortable, and the kitchen was easy to use. The hosts were very responsive.

“Apartment close to the ancient wall of Ávila, with an excellent collection of LPs.”

The best

The best things about this apartment are the location, with its views of the walls and the mountains in the distance, and the record player with the collection of LPs and 45s. If I were staying for a week, I still would not be able to play all the records I wanted to hear. I know one doesn't come to Avila to stay indoors and listen to LPs, but it's fun at the end of the evening.

To be improved

There were a few problems. Several times during our stay there was major water leakage across the kitchen floor. The owner replied (via message) that this happened because of condensation caused by the heating unit and it wasn't a problem. Still, it was not very nice to have to mop up water once or twice a day. The second thing was the lack of dish towels. There was a dishwasher but it would have been nice to simply wash and dry a few dishes. When I mentioned this to the owner, they suggested I buy my own dishtowel. Every other booking.com apartment I rented in Spain had such a basic thing, so this was quite annoying.

Simply wonderful location. Bright spacious two level apartment with a charming vinyl record player w/ actual records! Wow. Host is very responsive. Really a nice place

To be improved

After having some problems with the Hoomvip app, we simply ignored the use of facial recognition and sent our details directly to the host.

“Excellent property inside city walls.”

The best

The house is situated in a quiet area inside the city walls. All of the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. There is a washing machine and a dishwasher in the house. Parking is on the street but readily available beside the house. I consider this property the best I have stayed in while travelling in Spain.
