“Sweet farmhouse, jawdropping landscape”
The location is absolutely stunning with dramatic views of the unique black volcanic vineyards and mountains in all directions, and even a peek of the sea. Breathtaking sunsets from our sunny raised terrace. Totally peaceful, remote location, but walkable to several nice bodegas. The accommodation is rustic, charming, well maintained. Great to have a pool! Yet a private outdoor terrace for the studio. I found the tidy farm landscape quite moving, as the plants were thriving in the seemingly harsh environment, being superbly cared for. Very silent, yet there were bees, birds calling, the sound of the wind. Starry nights. Heavy morning dew. An.astonishing and a cherished experience. I'm grateful the owners gave access to this treasure--thank you!
Be aware it is remote, you need a car. But there was nothing I didn't like.
“Great place to stay - well positioned and quiet”
Great, very quiet location with wonderful views
1. Gate door needs repair as it couldn’t be opened to give us access to the key box (clearly a problem with the door handle that has happened before). Easy to properly fix and needs to be sorted out as it creates a problem for first arrivals after dark. We had to make late evening calls to gain access. 2. There are 4 small tea cups in the kitchen and it would be great if some larger coffee mugs could be provided as well. All temporary and easily resolved (just flagging this for the owners to sort out) and we’d recommend the property to others.

“Wonderful few nights in a unique and quiet setting”
We loved our 3 night stay at Casa Diama. It is so peaceful, we slept incredibly well as there was no noise disturbance at all. We were lucky that 2 out of the 3 nights we were there we did not have neighbours in the adjoining apartment- so the ‘shared pool’ was private for us, which was wonderful. La Geria is a unique place with a very curious landscape. It is like no place on earth that we had ever seen. You have a number of bodegas within walking distance and the gravel tracks around the property are great for a sunset walk or jog. The kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed the coffee table that had an inbuilt chess board. The location- In the middle of the island is great for exploring (a car is recommended).
We stayed in the bigger apartment- but what we didn’t realise is that it’s split in 2. The kitchen / living room area is a separate apartment to the bedrooms and bathroom. Not a huge problem but on our last day it rained and we could see that it could be an issue if there was consistent bad weather. We could only find German TV channels (or couldn’t work out how to find any other channels) not really an issue as we read / played games instead - but just to notify other guests. The bedrooms could get a bit hot at night and the bed and pillows were very soft (but that is more personal preference and we were so tired each day that we slept well regardless)
“Superb”
The silence because no one is around you and the nature. Nice to see the vineyard, the oranges and lemon trees if you walk around the property.
The road to the casa is not for small cars, there are big holes we're you can rip of your bumper and scratch the car, preferably rent a suv
