Very loud location! I would have appreciated being told that there was a party taking place on the corner on the night I had a room reserved. If I had known, I would have spent my money elsewhere as I was unable to sleep. The festivities lasted until after 5 am. Because of the noise, I had to keep the window closed so the room got hot and stuffy (didn’t help much with the noise either). As a pilgrim walking the Camino Primitivo, I was looking forward to a private room but I would have been better off at the alburgue.

There was no air conditioning, so during the summer it is very hard to stay there

Had to download an application to access the building.

I don't think that anyone should have to download a new app that they don't want in order to access a hotel. One, I don't need another app on my phone and two, I don't like giving my personal info to yet another entity. If I had known, I would not have booked this hotel. This feel is more like an Airbnb than a hotel. You do not interact with anyone whatsoever. All through the app. When I went to lay down, my sheets and pillows smelled like a dirty, sweaty hiker had already laid on one side of the bed. I do not feel like they were changed. Of course, there's no one to talk to. I had to message the hotel through Booking. Its frustrating not having the ability to actually speak with anyone. I was grossed out thinking that I would actually have to use my sleeping bag which made me annoyed because I spent a pretty penny on this room as a last minute splurge. It took about 30 minutes for them to write back and say that they are sending somebody over in ten minutes. All I wanted was to lay down after a long day on the Camino and I had to wait around to resolve this issue. The lady who came was very pleasant and nice. We changed the sheets. She assured me that the sheets had been changed before. She didn't know why they would smell. All I know is that the new sheets smelled different than the old ones.
