“Good value, tricky location, only 1 aircon in the living room (didn't work for us) and nice pool!”
The villa itself is set in such beautiful surroundings and we were even more thankful to have the pool to cool down in. There is also a lovely river that’s worth exploring a few minutes drive from the house. Park up at camping san Juan and follow the river up stream and you won’t be disappointed!
As soon as we arrived (very hot and bothered after a long journey) we were informed the air con had “just” broken…it was a national holiday so we understood that the part they needed wasn’t able to be ordered until the following day. Now, we picked this villa for two reasons. The pool and the aircon. To cut a very long story short we ended up staying the entire week without aircon (in 35 degree heat) with very little initiative from the owners or the agency. It was us, in fact who said; to make this stay bearable for the children, could we please have a portable unit! This was after 3 nights of the children being very restless from being to hot so at this point I felt we had been quite understanding but with no contact from anyone with any updates we felt like we really had to kick up a stink to get a solution sorted. We believe it was the aircon engineer who ended up lending us his personal one which we were incredibly thankful for at this point. The house is very basic but it’s expected for what you pay. I would say that the mattress’ could do with updating as they were quite uncomfortable. One last point I’d like to suggest is a welcome pack for visitors to just mention a few things about the area which would have been handy to know on arrival. There are a few shops in town that sell the necessities and two restaurants that do good food and cater well for British children, embarrassingly.
“Peaceful relaxing holiday away from it all.”
The location was great if you wanted a peaceful holiday away from it all.
Nothing a very Spanish villa.
“Very cozy apartment, beautiful garden and pool!”
