“Beautiful house in an amazing central location”
Just everything about Casa El Rincon was perfect! Veronica the owner is lovely. The location is amazing, right in the centre of La Laguna so everything is a short walk away, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bike hire. There's a safe place to park your car behind an electric gate. There's a sunny garden with a large garage to store bikes that has a washing machine and dryer and there's space in the garden for a washing line. The interior of the house is just beautiful and very tastefully furnished in tune with the age of the house. There's a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to make family meals - we cooked a lot - with a large separate dining room. There are many lounges/sitting rooms so everyone can have a quiet space if you're a big group. There's a downstairs double room with en-suite walk-in shower if you have someone with reduced mobility. The upstairs bedrooms were all lovely and spacious and there were 2 further bathrooms upstairs, one with walk-in shower and the other with shower over a bath. There are so many restaurants to choose from in La Laguna. We had some lovely meals out but it does get busy so best to book ahead. Lots of interesting shops and museums and churches to look around. We walked around the old part of town every day and kept finding more new things we hadn't spotted. There are some lovely hikes a short drive away and you can hire bikes from a few places in town. We used Teide Bike Service who were absolutely brilliant getting bikes the right size for the 5 of us with locks, helmets and phone mounts. And they even suggested some routes to suit the mixed ability of our group. Note that you can ride downhill into Santa Cruz and get the tram back up the hill to La Laguna - worth knowing on a hot day when one of you isn't as fit (or injured!).
Nothing at all, everything was perfect!
