CASA EL VALLITO

A really beautiful space to spend time in, a real pleasure. We loved the lava rock walls and lovely woodwork. Reminiscent of Ceasar manrique’s work. Lovely garden with lots of different seating areas. Very comfy beds and very quiet location (except for the morning cockrel!) Well equipped kitchen with cooking basics supplied. Beautiful tiling round the sink and bathroom. Hosts communicated well, friendly and available, but never intrusive. The location is rural, which is what we wanted, but there are still shops and restaurants within half an hour walk. It was a little cloudy at that height at the end of October but still a very pleasant temperature.

A beautiful house with a lovely garden around it, built by the owner himself. It's quite high up on a hill, which sometimes made June mornings and evenings cool and windy, but that only adds to the charm of the place. The house is not perfect, but it is authentic and full of wonderful details. We spent two unforgettable weeks there, walking every day on the beautiful, empty hiking trails of El Hierro. This island is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. -> Beautiful garden with terrace facing west (and magical sunsets) -> Very comfortable bed -> Nice volcanic bathroom -> Very good restaurants nearby A great place for those who appreciate peace and solitude. Silence, greenery, flying cockroaches - that's the Canary Islands, you have to get used to it :-)

Self catering - but a very useful guest information folder containing local details of shops / restaurants etc.. Property is nearly 700 metres above sea level so expect occasionally to be in low cloud but when clear the views are exceptional. Property is about 50 metres down a path fom the road so may not suit everyone. Property is very well equipped and the terrace with outside table and chairs / sun loungers / BBQ are perfect. The terrace has its very own lemon tree.
