“Very good location just a few miles from A67. Very scenic. The place was spotlessly clean.and lots of room for parking the motorcycle round the back. The owner speaks quite good English.and was very friendly and helpfull.Food was good. We will definitely be planning to stay there again.brilliant place for santander ferry either way. · Cons: A few flies in restaurant but thats spain”

“Great location about an hour from Santander port. Lovely lakeside village 10 mins from main motorway. Genuine family run, newly renovated hotel and bar serving great local food. Carlos was a fantastic host who made the stay a pleasure. He speaks great English and nothing too much a problem. Secure yard at rear, ideal for motorbike stopovers. As is the cold beer and tapas! Will definitely use again, what a gem. · Cons: Nothing. All good.”

The best

Beautiful location by the lake, nice restaurant / bar, clean rooms, kind and helpful owner that can speak English and helped us practice Spanish and recommend a good mechanic for our car. Great area for walking / biking.

To be improved

For walking there are no real trails, but you are able to walk around the peninsula in the lake quite freely.

“Great one night stop!”

The best

Very clean and convenient stop on the way to/from Santander. Well kept and bathroom practically brand new! Quiet, peaceful area with lovely view of the lake and not too far from the nice town of Reinosa.

To be improved

Rooms were pretty basic (which was fine for a one night stop, and at least were super clean). Would be great if the price included a simple breakfast (eg. coffee and tortilla) as it’s a bit pricey otherwise, but maybe due to summer prices.
