“Superb”

The best

The house is lovely and has a lot of character. It is a good size with spacious. Most of the utilities worked to some degree, but others could easily be improved. The location was perfect and the two bar/restuarants were great value for money, good quality and friendly. It is idealy situated for both beaches/coastal towns and for excursions into the mountains and the Picos National Park.

To be improved

The main problem we experienced was the total lack of any appliance operating instructions. It would have been very useful to explain the operation of the Hob and the cooker and the dishwasher, especially as all machines are not identical. I would suggest to the owners that they provide a folder containing all these instructions and any local useful information, for all guests to use. The hot water was not always available for the showers. The BBQ racking system did not work properly and needs repair. Whilst there were frames outside for outdoor seating, there were no cushions available to use, despite being offered in the amenities. Finally, the wooden floors of downstairs bedroom creeked very loudly with every step on them. This could be easily rectified with a couple of rugs/mats.

“Very comfortable Spanish holiday offering both beach and countryside”

The best

Very easy to find, near the beach and countryside, large traditional Spanish house. 1 bedroom and shower room downstairs and 2 further bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the patio furniture under the granary as the weather was wet. The baby swifts nesting in the roof by the bbq allowed us to cook a couple of nights. Loads of birds to see from the front porch, including hawks, so take binoculars.

To be improved

We loved it so can only offer very minor issues. Reversing into the driveway with a VW Transporter van was a little snug but would be fine with a car. Never did find a light switch for the pantry in the kitchen so had to keep using a torch we took for camping.
