Casa Garita Beach

The roof terrace did not match the images published here - no sun lounger nor bbq. To get there you have to go up an open set of stairs which go over the stairs to get to the apartment. Difficult to bring things up because you need to hold onto the railing. Dangerous if traveling with small children or pets. Bed very hard, woke up sore every morning. Was asked to pay 8€ per day plus a 100€ deposit for my dog, only instructions I was given was that the deposit would be returned if there were no “imperfections” found on check out. Now given that my dog is long-haired and is changing his coat, some of his hairs transferred from him to me to the sofa/bed. Owner decided to take half of the deposit for this. If you cannot deal with dog hair don’t allow dogs to stay in the first place. He told me the 50€ he took would go to extra cleaning, when I challenged that’s what I paid the 8€ a day for he said no that’s for the dog bed they provided (so 72€ total just for a used dog bed to be in the apartment, right). Owner was very rude, yelling at me and wouldn’t let me get a word in. Horrible customer service and made me feel unsafe. Be careful traveling here with dogs as I feel it is just a scam to get extra money: when they arrived to check the place they went straight to the sofa and bed and didn’t even check the rest of the place. They just want to find a hair to keep your deposit. Won’t be staying here again.

The flat is bit dated and needs a deep clean. It would be a bonus if hosts provided beach towels and possibly a little bit of essentials (little bit of coffee, milk, water) Stayed over 1 week in the town next door and I guess... we got spoilt by comfort and ammenities at the other apartment.

Our arrival was appalling. We were treated like illegal immigrants. The owner refused to tell us the house number on the road and refused to reveal the key code. We were extremely stressed by this hostile treatment. If it had not been for Efrain's help we would have had to find a hotel or sleep on the road. I had paid for this apartment weeks before and we were angry and distressed. Efrain saved the day and forced this horrible owner to allow us into our booked apartment. The owner had sent a confusing message to my computer in England on the day we were leaving. Apparently there was some unspecified information they wanted. They could have asked for this weeks earlier, but waited until the last minute after we left home! Therefore I could not respond. I would gladly have given any information wanted, if they visited the apartment - but they did not visit! I would gladly have filled out a form in the apartment if they had left a form - but they did not! They could have asked for information, weeks earlier - but they did not!
