“Luxurious historic property with wonderful staff”
The best

The property was historic, but brilliantly modernised. Location was excellent for hiking and the views outstanding. The pool was appreciated after a long hike. Staff did everything they could to make the stay great, even returning a lost dog who had followed us to its elderly owner.

We loved the location, the views from the patio were fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.

To be improved

The quality of service and food in the restaurant didn’t match the price. Although there was a lot of room in the restaurant all the diners were placed in a small area.

Nice room with a great view. The facilities were good but a coffee machine would improve it.

To be improved

Some staff (reception on arrival and cleaning staff) were very pleasant while the wait staff at breakfast and dinner were not. They were easily the surliest we have encountered in a month away. They appeared purposefully unpleasant. Management needs to do some work there.
