“Grand old house with lovely hosts”
The best

Lovely owners, plenty of advice about where to visit with a pack of maps and infomation provided on arrival. Interesting old house with nice outside space. Comfortable room, nicely decorated. Fantastic breakfast in a beautiful beamed dining room with log fire burning.

To be improved

No kettle in the room and no tea and coffee making facilities available. No mini bar or honesty bar. Given that the house is in the middle of nowhere these facilities would have been nice to have - this is a "country house", so I would have expected to have them. That said the owners did give us access to their private kitchen so that we could use their kettle. Wifi sketchy

“Amazing family house”
The best

Wonderful house, garden and pool! Also a 20min walk from a few small bars / supermarket. Staying for longer you'd want a car tho. Because we didn't have a car Benito went out of his way to offer us a lift to ourense and more! Very accommodating hosts.

Didn't feel very private for a couple on a romantic retreat
