“Spacious, arty villa with a fabulous pool.”

The best

The villa is absolutely lovely. The beds and sofas are comfortable and you have everything you need in the kitchen, including a good sized fridge and equally large freezer. There are some very quirky art works around the house which raises it above other bland rental villas. The garden is huge with lovely plants and trees and the pool is a great size. You can really do lengths in it. There are lots of different areas to sit in, so you don't feel like you are on top of one another. The outdoor kitchen with barbecue is great. It is easily walkable to the old town in about 20 minutes or less. There are lots of great restaurants around that area. The port area also has a great feel with lots of good places to eat but is less busy and noisy than the beach area.

To be improved

There is only air conditioning in the master suite. The other rooms have fans. I personally prefer these but others may not. The listing really should take out the 'beachfront' description as it is absolutely nowhere near. We did know this as we checked on maps but it could be very misleading. When we arrived there were no parasols for the sun beds by the pool. We asked the holiday rep and a parasol was very quickly provided which was great but there really should be a couple more. It was quite difficult to get taxis from the villa in high season. However you can get them back from the beach area from a taxi rank on the main road. Although the pool was large and lovely there was some sort of chemical issue which turned all our swimsuits green. They did send someone out to fix this but it didn't seem to help. Hopefully they will get this sorted out.

Because of how hot it was, it would be ideal to have air conditioning in each bedroom rather than just 1 bedroom
