Casa gueli

The furniture was modern and stylish. The whole place was very clean. We liked that it was outside the town but walkable ( 15 mins). Useful to do laundry mid holiday.

The owner (Niti) remodeled the home of his mother-in-law, hence the name (Casa Gueli). It is a short drive or walk from the main bridge in town and is in beautiful surroundings, with the mountains in the distance and a beautiful river not far away, with a great walking trail, into and away from town. The bedroom is upstairs and the stairs are a little narrow, so if you have large bags, it may be better to leave them in the living room? As is the norm in older Spain, you leave the windows wide open and there are no screens, but there also were very few bugs. It takes a bit to get used to, but go with it. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with all new materials, appliances and furniture. There is no WiFi but you can get a cell signal outside on the beautiful porch. The neighbors are lovely but there is some road noise, especially at night. Niti makes himself available to answer any questions and recommendations. He is a super host!

Lovely apartment not far from Cangas de Onís in the foothills of the Picos de Europa - it was comfortable, well-equipped and well decorated. The host Niti met us with the keys on arrival and was very personable and communicative.
