“The house was great! Close to local restaurants, beaches and shops by car. It had all the facilities we needed and more. Closed off well so that it was safe for our dog and little one. · Cons: The initial welcome could have been better. We had an issue with the pricing (which Sophie resolved as soon as she could and was extremely helpful) The reason I didn't give a higher mark was because the gentleman who welcomed us only spoke French. We speak English, Spanish and Catalan. As the property is in Catalonia we understood we would be able to communicate easily upon arrival. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case and so we were told we had to pay 172 euros in cash before we could have the keys for bed linen and cleaning. We tried to explain that we had asked booking.com beforehand if there were any extras but as the maintenance man didn't understand he quickly became frustrated and a little bit rude. As you can imagine this wasn't the welcome we expected after an almost 3-hour drive with a dog and a 2-year-old. Luckily we had cash and agreed to pay and try to resolve later. The only other downside was that during our 5-day stay, the gardener came on day 3 or 4 at 930 to trim the plants and grass and clean out the pool. I feel this could have been done prior to our stay as this took an hour and a half during which we couldn't use the garden. This and the fact that there was only one bathroom for 4 adults and a child. There is another small toilet and pool shower but when we needed a shower this wasn't ideal. These are small details which could have been better. Sophie was great and we would definitely consider staying here again.”
