We recently stayed at this property and, while the apartment itself was clean, spacious and lovely, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the poor state of the facilities and the handling of the situation. The pool – which was one of the main reasons we booked this accommodation – was completely out of use for the duration of our stay. The water was green, the area was sealed off, and the whole space felt neglected. This wasn’t a minor, unexpected fault – it looked like it hadn’t been properly maintained for a while. We were never told the pool was out of action until we asked, and even then the first person we spoke to came across quite confrontational – which may have been a language barrier, but it didn’t help the situation. The owner herself was very polite and apologetic, but beyond saying sorry, she didn’t really offer anything to rectify things other than a €40 voucher for the pool bar. Yes – the bar next to the unusable, sealed-off pool. The whole experience felt a bit surreal. We had booked this place specifically to relax by the pool and have everything on hand, but ended up having to travel to the beach every day instead. That meant extra money, extra effort, and not the holiday we had planned or paid for. Booking.com’s customer service only made things worse – glitchy, inconsistent, and incredibly difficult to navigate. We received different responses via the app and by email, links didn’t work, and it took over a week of chasing just to get a partial refund. In the end, we felt completely let down. If the pool had been functioning, we would’ve had a totally different holiday – and probably left a glowing review. But as it stands, this was a really frustrating and disappointing experience, and we wouldn’t book again.
