“Great hotel in great town.”
My wife loved the decor. I liked the breakfast. We both thought the host was great.
All good!
“Clean, cramped and overpriced.”
Very clean, overlooking a small river with a pretty terrace, Helpful on arrival (after phoning to announce our arrival) and willing to clean the room every day. Internet connection was superb. Most of the shops opened at 9.30 and Bar Cuidol seems to be the most popular, though the Projecta Uncastillo around the corner on the bend, sells local wines and foodstuffs and is also reasonably priced. The pool in Uncastillo is about 10 minutes walk away and well worth a trip though the restaurant there is not as good or varied as it used to be. The room is probably OK for an overnight stay - nothing more.
No air conditioning - fans. No use of cutlery, kitchen, cooker, crockery, fridge, freezer, washing machine etc. no kettle and parking was every man for himself on the pavement outside see pics. Rickey chair in the room had to be propped against the wall before use. Very deceptive advertisement - the unit that you are renting is a bedroom with en-suite shower and loo, the rest of the living space is shared with another three rooms, including tables and terrace. Not sure if we could use the fridge or freezer but they already had foodstuffs inside (no fridge in room btw) - see pics of a big bag of apricots or other fruits. Tourist information has been moved from the bottom of town to the top, meaning that you have to climb quite steep winding streets to get there, only to find that they are closed. It would also be difficult for disabled people or those of advanced age to access. Avoid the bar, up the valley on the left-hand side - they don't clean the tables after customers, resulting in flies swooping down to snack on crumbs and drink from the moisture rings left from cold glasses.

Excellent stay at Casa Laiglesia. Our room was really nice and cozy with newly done interiors and was clean and stylish. It has good ceiling fan and the building stayed nice and cool even though we had few really hot days during our stay so there was no need for AC. We could use the shared dining room and refridgerator. The terrace was perfect with fruit trees giving shade, true rural experience. The owner was friendly and helpful. Uncastillo was one of our favourites during our road trip in north Spain.
Nada.
“Quiet apartment at a great location, very good breakfast”
Quiet apartment at a great location, easy to find parking along the street. A very good breakfast was provided at the time of our preference.
We would have liked to have a kettle to make tea.
