Great communication from the owner and very responsive host.
Centrally located in the village with easy parking.
A wonderful stay with no major complaints. Highly recommended.
Well-equipped kitchen with all needed appliances and extra touches.
The apartment was very clean and well-maintained.
Large, very comfortable spaces with good furnishings.
“Exceptional”
Very friendly and helpful host. Spacious two-floor apartment - everything you need and more, including books and board games. Bathrooms are on both floors. Pre-ikea style furniture, cosy kitchen. Nice view from the mini-balcony. Quiet and nice small town. Very central location - in front of the Church and Town Hall. Two mini-markets nearby.
Two-floor apartment on the second floor of the house might be a problem if you have limited mobility. Two out of three bedrooms are under the roof slope, watch out! After a heavy rain there was a small pool in front of the balcony door. Despite descriptions parking in front of the house was always occupied (maybe we were just unlucky) so I had to park some 100-200 m away.

“Enjoyable and memorable stay by the stunning location and responsive support from Manuel”
The location of the house in the village of Valle de Abdalajís is central, and the views are fabulous, but having a car is essential as there is no public transportation to the village. Situated approximately 20 km away on a winding road with serpentines, the village of Valle of Abdalajís is isolated from other towns. Whether you're heading to the coast (Málaga is 1 hour away) or the interior cities of Andalucía (Caminito del Rey 30 min, Ronda 1h 20 min, Granada 1 hour 30 min, Córdoba 1 h 40 min, Sevilla and Gibraltar 2h, Tarifa 2h 15 min, Cádiz 2h 40 min), it's a drive to reach your destination. Despite being a very small village with 2400 inhabitants, Valle of Abdalajís offers helpful locals, especially if you speak Spanish. A larger town, Antequera, is located 20 km away and boasts a rich history of 4000 years, with attractions such as the Dolmenas de Antequera. Positioned at the heart of Andalucía, Antequera serves as a central hub for all roads leading to the interior cities of Andalucía. When traveling to or from Málaga, you pass through Álora, a bigger village with 11,000 inhabitants. Here, you'll find a Mercadona supermarket for your shopping needs. While there are two supermarkets near the house in Valle de Abdalajís, one right next door and the other a 2-minute walk away, Álora provides additional options. The house is conveniently located next to the Town Hall, and a big Chinese Bazar, open even on Christmas and New Year's Eve, is just two doors up the street, offering a variety of essentials. The village streets are characterized by steepness and narrowness. Parking in front of the house is available, although not reserved, so if returning late from travels, you may need to park a bit further down the street.
Upon our arrival on the 18th of December, we experienced chilly weather in the area, with temperatures dropping to as low as 1 to 4 degrees at night. The house, having been vacant, required three days and nights to warm up. The living room featured air conditioning, and electric radiators in the upstairs bedrooms worked continuously to generate warmth. It wasn't until four days later that the house reached a comfortable temperature. Upstairs, there is only one bathroom located in the double bedroom. Consequently, my parents, who occupied the twin bedroom, had to use the bathroom in my bedroom during the night, as the staircase is quite steep for nighttime trips to the downstairs bathroom. The downstairs bathroom, although spacious, tends to be cold and emits an unpleasant odor in the mornings. The upper floor, being an attic, posed some discomfort for my parents, both in their 70s, as they navigated the bedroom. We encountered significant issues with the fuses continually blowing during our stay. The designated contact person, Manuel, proved to be very helpful. Upon recognizing the severity of the problem, he promptly engaged an electrician who replaced the fuses and arranged for additional power from the electric company (as per his explanation). Fortunately, the problem was resolved within a couple of days. I would recommend that the owner thoroughly inspect the electrical installation before guests arrive and ensure the house is adequately warmed up 24 hours in advance.
