“Very disappointing stay – not as advertised”
We are a family of 5 and stayed for 10 nights. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences we’ve had on Booking.com, and we have over 500 stays behind us. The property is listed under the name Casa Lua, but no locals knew it by that name. The actual building is called Barlovento, which made it very difficult to find upon arrival. The photos are misleading – the apartment looks much larger and more modern in the pictures than it is in reality. It is quite small, the walls are extremely thin (we could hear everything from the neighbors), and there is no double bed. The room doors cannot be locked, and we received no keys for them. The apartment is located on the 8th floor of an old 10-story building, and there is only one small elevator for the entire building, which is very inconvenient for families with children or luggage. The biggest issue was communication. The host sent a man named Pepe to meet us – he arrived 30 minutes late, didn’t speak any English, and seemed annoyed. We received only limited information via WhatsApp from the host. On the first night, our car was damaged in the private parking area. We reported it politely and only asked for advice – but later the host wrote on Booking that we were “problematic guests,” even though she never met us in person. This was highly unprofessional. The parking is extremely tight and low – not suitable for larger cars. The pool is shared with several buildings and feels more like a public facility. We also felt that local residents were not happy to have tourists in the building. Unfortunately, this property did not meet our expectations and ruined our vacation. We would not stay here again.
“Perfect ♥️”
Amazing place, beautifully arranged, large enough, perfect view. The kitchen was fully equipped considering we cooled day for the baby. The host was super kind, answering to all the questions at any time. We would come back for sure. ♥️
A small inconvenience was the fact that if we used several electrical devices, the electrical fuse would trip.
