Great location for exploring walks in Gran Canaria.
A fantastic stay with minor issues, overall highly satisfying.
The main house was very comfortable and well finished.
Luca was very friendly & helpful.
Excellent value given the overall experience and amenities.
Generally a well-maintained villa, although a small issue with the shower.
“Charming house, just needs some attention”
Ist impression is a 'wow' lovely looking house in spacious plot. Lots of space inside and quality furniture/fittings. Several A/C units meant the house was warm (we visited in winter and the weather was chilly at this altitude - around 800m) However, no heating in the bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels provided. Huge 'party barn' would be a great asset in warmer weather but too cold in the winter. Nice position just outside the town of San Mateo where there are plenty of amenities and a great market at weekends. Lucas provided a very good cooked meal for us on arrival though there was way too much food for two people. Fridge was well stocked and 2 bottles of local wine were appreciated. However, much of the fruit and veg went off before we could eat it (we suspect some of it had been there for a while).
We felt the house was not exactly as described on booking.com. No indoor pool, just an outdoor unheated (and full of dead insects)plunge pool. 'Hot tub' is actually an indoor spa bath. Description states 3 bathrooms, however one is actually in the unheated party barn some 150 feet across the courtyard - this was the only walk in shower and the best of the three! In fact our main complaint is with the 2 indoor bathrooms. One was a tiny cubicle - we are not large people but we could not turn round in it. The other was a huge spa bath that had no overhead shower. Both are rather tired and could do with updating. Basically the bathrooms let the rest of the house down. This should be fabulous and could be, with a bit of improvement
“Excellent Villa for a quality and comfortable stay.”
Everything was great - the house, the space, the weather, the host, the location had the privacy we wanted, about an hour away from the city centre - highly recommend it.
“Perfect home for a perfect holiday in Gran Canaria!”
Everything! The home is beautiful and has everything you need. The host is amazing too! He’s very receptive, helpful and so thoughtful. He provided several drinks, fruits, snacks, bread, lunch meat etc. We felt very spoiled and welcomed. The location is amazing too. Centrally located so going anywhere on the island is within a reasonable distance. The home is very private, safe and has great views. I really can’t say enough positive things about this home and host. We have traveled to several countries and stayed in many places and this is by far the best!

“Superb”
Very nice and clean house. We felt very welcome from the beginning. The owner is very friendly. It is quiet location, but within walking distance from the town centre with several grocery shops and restaurants. The region is very beautiful to hike and discover the charming towns.
No downsides to mention
“Beautiful mountain villa”
Lucas is an amazing host. He welcomed us with a home cooked meal, then left us in privacy to enjoy this beautiful villa. Whenever we needed advice or help, he would answer in WhatsApp in a few seconds. So helpful and kind! I really love the town of San Mateo and the wonderful pastry shop. We stayed there during a cold, rainy spell but when we wanted the sun we could just drive down to Maspalomas and enjoy the sun by the sea. So we had the best of both worlds: cosy, hilly and friendly or bustling, hot and touristy, whenever we wanted we could switch by hopping in the car. My boys fell in love with a wayward, cheeky cockerel that wandered into the garden every so often. We really loved being able to make orange juice from the oranges that Lucas picked from his orange trees in the garden.
There was nothing we didn't like. It was lovely. We would come back here next time we come to Gran Canaria.
“A fantastic villa, would highly recommend.”
The villa was located in a very quiet area but only a short walk into the town. It was spotless and very well equipped. We were a group of 5 ladies and after a day of hiking there was no shortage of hot water for baths and showers. Lucas was a perfect host, he was there to meet us on arrival .He had cooked a bean casserole, two types of soup, a Russian salad and a chocolate dessert. There was an assortment of cooked meats and cheese in the fridge as well as jams, honey, coffee and tea. A beautiful bowl of fruit , a bottle of wine and fresh bread all awaited us.
