CASA MARAVILLA

The villa was broken into on our first night. We had money stolen. We had locked all doors but the lock on the door was faulty and required a specific type of double locking to secure it. This could have been avoided if the host had provided an information sheet advising how to lock the door properly and also how to alarm the villa. It was disappointing that this could have been avoided if the hosts communicated better. We reported it to the police and they advised that this is the second break in that they had been called to where money was stolen. The location is not great. We also had an issue with the air con in the main living space. It started leaking water very badly and even though repotted it was not fixed so we had to turn off the air conditioning which was not pleasant.

On flight path, even though I was told it wasn’t! Poor selection of pans for cooking. Lack of basics, eg bin liners, coffee paper filters, welcome pack with useful info, like where to take garbage. The over powering smell of artificial air fresheners. Plastic plants.
