“Stay Longer, Explore More”
The best

I wish I had booked more time here. While Setenil itself is small, the value of what you are getting for what you pay is exceptional. I would have liked to reorganize my exploration of the Málaga area with this accommodation as my base. I also was blown away by the festival for the patron saint of the town the Lady of Mount Carmel. I didn't know this would be happening when I booked my stay but there was a live music festival and DJ set that brought the whole town together until 5:00 in the morning. All this to say there is more to this accommodation than first meets the eye!

To be improved

I wish I had trusted my host more when it came to parking my rental car. Unlike all the automated codes sent out, this home still had a traditional key and someone to greet you at the door when you came in. Now honestly like maybe many people who have gotten used to traveling without human interaction, having to meet someone at the door felt weird... That was until I was greeted by the nicest host and reminded how good it feels to be properly welcomed and made to feel taken care of. They had even saved me a parking spot right in front of the place, but alas I had already given up and parked down the hill in the parking garage. Even though the parking garage is not a far walk, I wish I had trusted my host more and just engaged with them initially; take advantage of the authentic human interaction, it's the rarest commodity nowadays!

The best

It was perfect. Host, location, accommodation. I am a quite big traveller, and this accomofation was just perfect!

To be improved

There was nothing to dislike. We stayed there only one night. It was a stopover. However, it absolutely worth it in any sense. I am unable to say anything that was negative.

“The best location and the best value for money in Setenil de las Bodegas”
The best

The accommodation is a massive mansion with two floors and three bedrooms. It has a panoramic view of Setenil de las Bodegas as it is perched on a hill overlooking the entire village. The location is about 300m away from the bus station which made our lives so much easier since we were traveling in and out of Setenil by bus. We were busy traveling the day before we arrived and forgot to inform the owner when to expect us. Fortunately the host was always online and it only took five minutes for his parents to come over and gave us a tour of the house. It is also less than 500m from the center of the village so everything is within walking distance. We were caught off guard with regard to the opening hours of the restaurants and the convenience stores and fortunately the owner was there to give real time support online that helped us with our meal and our supplies for the next day. The owner is also a history buff and gave us a lot of info on Setenil de las Bodegas and that is much appreciated.

To be improved

The only thing was the smell of mold and I think it would help if windows are kept open all the time.
