“Not what we expected”
The best

The sound of birdsong in the surrounding woods. The dogs loved roaming the extensive, fenced grounds. The high quality bathroom. The fact our room had a double bed + 2 single beds + 2 bunk beds (rather than 2 single beds + a sofa-bed as specified).

To be improved

The description is VERY misleading in many respects. Most importantly, the kitchen facilities are shared with guests in all the other chalets, and are inadequate. There is no kettle or stove, and only one small fridge & sink. If you go expecting a quiet, basic hostel with a small pool & views of a distant lake, you will be 100% satisfied. But if you're expecting a comfortable riverside country hotel with private facilities & a nearby lake, you're going to be unhappy. For what is charged (+€15 per animal) it is poor value.
