The room was as described and depicted, it was small, but clean and comfortable. AC was a bonus. Bathroom was not fancy, but everything worked as it was supposed to. Location is very scenic and peaceful. Price for the room and meals was very reasonable.
We had a confusing experience with the restaurant that is connected to the hotel. I had messaged the hotel in advance asking for dinner reservations at 20:00, and received the reply that this was ok. When I arrived I asked if it could be a bit earlier but the owner conveyed that this was not possible and additionally 20:00 was not possible and it had to be later. We came at 21:00 and were surprised that the menu was very limited, only about 9 items available, mainly grilled, pub style food. After reading other reviews and looking at the website, we assumed we could get the dinner that included several courses with regional specialties. We showed the owner this info from his website and he told us this was only available midday, not night. I could not understand why others seemed to have had such positive dinner experiences. The owner then told us he could accommodate us. So we received the multicourse meal, but did not have a choice from the menu, and the quality didn’t match what others have raved about. Additionally, we struggled to communicate with the owner. Admittedly, we didn’t speak Spanish, which didn’t help our situation and created a huge communication gap and there seemed to be a lot of misunderstanding between us. His expressions, tone and body language made us feel a bit stressed, as we felt we were causing a big inconvenience to him. I can see he is a very busy man and the restaurant seems to be very popular, but we felt like nuisances and it made our stay feel awkward and uncomfortable.

We had dinner twice there and both were excellent. Lots of choices and home made dishes.
