“Very good”
Outdoor facilities ideal for the 4 of us. Enjoyed having the openair BBQ.
It should be noted that Icod is very hilly, making it difficult for anyone with walking disabilities.
“Authentic stay in charming property”
The house is spacious, spotless clean and nicely furnished and is well cared after. Beds are extremely comfortable, we had plenty of fluffy towels and the kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal. We loved the location, Icod is such a charming little town and has all the services you might need during your stay. Penelope is a great host, easily reachable and very attentive. I would definitely recommend this place to all those looking for a quite spot, away from the mass tourism and for a more authentic experience. Icod is easily accessible by bus so you don’t necessarily need a car. We didn’t have one the last few days and traveled easily by bus and taxi. Grocery shops are within walking distance as restaurants and the main attractions.
It’s worth mentioning that the house has no central heating so it can get chilly during winter time during early morning and evening/night hours. You may want to bring with you a warm sweater. Also, unfortunately the place is not suitable for people with reduced mobility due to stairs.
“Absolutly amazing, the owner was very kind! The house is huge.”
The house was huge and clean. Perfect!!
Only one small minus is, in ground floor you can hear everything from the upper floor.
“A wonderful stay in a unique place.”
Casa Pedro is a beautiful and spacious house with three bedrooms, a patio, a roof terrace and a small pool. In fact, it is so spacious that our children were able to play hide-and-seek in it. The house is in a quiet location just a few minutes walking distance above the centre of Icod – 'above' because the vertical dimension matters in this very hilly little town. Icod itself has an unassuming charm and is by no means a resort town. It is well connected to everything along the north coast from Buenavista to Puerto – and Playa San Marcos. The house and the town are a unique and excellent base from which to explore this part of Tenerife. On a clear day, you will get magnificent views of the Atlantic *and* Pico del Teide from the terrace – you merely have to turn your head. Last but not least, Penélope, the host, is extremely friendly and helpful.
There's little to complain about. One thing to note is that Casa Pedro, like many older houses on Tenerife, has only one fireplace for heating. On a chilly night (not uncommon in spring) you may wish to dress warmly. Which we did :-)
“A very good place.”
