“Unique modern antique house in a historical valley”
This is really a special place. It is a house built against the rock wall of this 'baranco' and it must be a very old, traditional place. However, the owners did it up beautifully and it is now a great mix of rustic and modern. The bedroom is huge with a huge (high) bed, which made us feel very special and honoured. The house is not directly onto the road but on a tiny alleyway that accesses several houses in this neighbourhood. Special features are a small table and chairs to sit outside, placed on top of the stone wall. The house has wooden shutters instead of windows and the front door and kitchen door have huge cast-iron bars to secure them. Really beautiful.
It would have been nice to have a small oven. But otherwise the kitchen is quite complete.
“Silent valley place”
The location was perfect close to the port and ideal for getting around. Also a very quiet, idyllic location in this small village, the nearest village San Pedro had a bar for essential foods.
The only thing that would have been better was the pillows for the bed, they were very hard for us both. Did sleep eventually but some softer ones and perhaps memory foam ones will provide better sleep for the guests 😀
“Quiet and remote”
Comfy beds, strong wifi, quiet location. You need a car (which you will park in the street). It's a quiet neighborhood in the mountainous area, 10 minutes drive from Agaete. Ideal for exploring the north and west and for great hikes. If you need a remote place far from everything, this is it. Communication in Spanish only, but Google helps a lot. Self check-in/out, but the host is always there for you, whatever you need. The house is a rural old building but with a well equipped kitchen, strong internet, comfy beds. Probably cool in the summer (which is good). We were there in December and needed a bit of heating to warm up the rooms. Bathroom OK.
Furniture in the living-room rather simple, but ok.
