Location location location it was superb…great views with stunning scenery and despite seeming to be a long drive on an unmade track from the road we could actually get into the village in 4 minutes!! Great little back patio…sun trap. Quiet and beautiful. Wonderful mountain walks direct from the cottage.

To be improved

Lighting was appalling so come dusk it was really difficult to do simple tasks. Wi-fi was unreliable Log burner smoked us out every time we started to light it but when it was established it stopped smoking.

“Great stay”

The best

Property was 10/10 for cleanliness throughout. Place was large and comfortable with 2 outside spaces, so you could be in the shade or sun at any time of the day. Loved the area for sunbathing and the pool was a brilliant addition especially when the temperatures rose to early 30s. Close to the lovely village of Lubrin, 5 minutes walk into but 10 minutes walk back due to the hilly nature of the area. Great to BBQ and sit outside in the evenings. This is the second time we've stayed and would stay again.

To be improved

WiFi was poor to non existent so had to purchase extra data to create a hot spot on my phone. Casa Rincon is lovely BUT needs a little TLC in the outside areas, especially the one accessed from the kitchen, maybe just sweeping up the dead leaves, fixing a broken cupboard door and adding a plant or two. The fence around the sun area around the front is falling down making it look a bit tacky especially compared to the lovely property next door.

The description does not explain that you have to drive along a dry river bed for best part of a kilometre then up an almost vertical single track to the property to then be faced with a 300 metre walk down to the property.

To be improved

During the week we stayed we could not have a decent shower as the water fluctuated from warm to scalding to cold as a result of the gas boiler not being services. It took four days for the owner to set up access to the internet.

“Beautiful quiet spot with lovely views within a short walk from the centre of Lubrin.”

The best

The location was lovely, a quiet rural setting yet only a short walk to the village. The rear has a sun trap courtyard overlooking the cliffs that form the backdrop to Lubrin. If you are at all interested in wildlife there were some exotic bird, a colony of Lesser Kestrels living on the cliffs, a Blue Rock Thrush and Hoopoes to name just a few. Sam was very kind & helpful.

To be improved

Access is a little difficult with a steep, narrow concrete road leading up from a dirt road or alternatively through the village and over the ridge behind then down a concrete / dirt road (also the route to walk to / from the village).

“Casa Rincon an Almerian delight”

The best

Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful but only 5 mins from the village. Such a beautiful and friendly village. Owner is especially lovely and although keeps to herself she is nearby if needed and can't do enough to make sure your stay is all you want it to be. Perfect place to get away from it all and casa is beautiful, traditional and very comfortable. Two sitting areas and a plunge pool..loved it.

Intermittent Internet although didn't impact on our stay.
