The best

Fabulous location in the old town of Altea. Beautifully decorated and very comfy sofa and bed. The kitchen had a microwave, oven and dishwasher. Roberto was very helpful and responsive. The apartment was well equipped but could do with new pans for cooking. Light switches were a little temperamental. Overall fantastic place and great value.

We didn’t receive a code to unlock the door it was 11 at night and only for the taxi driver we’d have slept on the road we had no hot water in the shower for 4 days and despite sending emails and phone calls nobody came to help us

SMELL, basically it smelt of drains coming from the bathroom and the kitchen sink. The owner had tried to to mask this with strong air freshners. When talked to the owner about this he said keep the doors and windows open. There was only a curtain separating the toilet from the bedroom. The smell was so bad we slept on the lounge floor for 6 nights with the patio doors open. (unfortunately had not checked other reviews and have seen that this is an ongoing problem). Had 48 hours without hotwater, the gas bottle was eventually changed by the owner. Other issues were 3 powercuts on night of arrival which were definitely in the house rather than the village.
