A warm welcome to a beautifully restored house. A comfortable bedroom and a stunning communal sitting room.

To be improved

Booking.com and Casa Rousia's own website advertise a restaurant, which was one of the reasons we chose Casa Rousia. However, there was no restaurant service (other than breakfast). It is our fault that we didn't speak enough Spanish to know whether the restaurant was closed permanently or just when we were there. With a restaurant, this would be close to perfect.

The best

Casa Rousía is special place. The hotel itself has a nice authentic style, is well equipped, good breakfast and everything but what it makes such an exceptional experience is Luis' attention. The carefully crafted trips to archeological sites, gastronomy and the villages and towns around as well as recommendations for hiking routes are a real gem. Even more, Luis shared his deep knowledge about the region and tailored very nice programmes for each of our days we stayed at the hotel.

To be improved

It is a rural estate so enjoy the slow down experience but don't expect a perfectly running business hotel - you gain a very personal service and careful attention that help to solve all wifi and early breakfast issues
