Casa Rural El Molinero

We felt absolutely scammed at Casa Rural El Molinero. I have been a Booking.com client for years and always had a great experience, until now. The photos in Booking.com showed – as the first photo - an outstanding view facing the mountains. However, the reality was that we got an apartment facing a wall, with no views whatsoever. The amazing view to the mountains was the main reason we booked this place. We contacted the property and they just told us that they have two apartments and we got the bad one, as the other one had already been booked. This is absolutely wrong and dishonest. I understand that there are various apartments within a property, however where I have seen this elsewhere in Booking.com there was different options to select with different prices and photos specific for each of them. This accommodation was pricey compared to others in the area, but I was happy to proceed because the views were great; I was completely scammed! I have booked many accommodations in Booking.com and this is the first time I book something based on a photo in the main ad, with no options to select (and obviously no photos of the room / options), and what I get does not have the features in the photo at all! I contacted Casa Rural El Molinero expressing my disappointment and I received no options or compensation. Just a blunt “this is the only one we had available, the good one was already booked”. I explained the situation and suggested a discount, but this was declined. I believe that Booking.com should not allow this behavior. Each property / accommodation option must be fairly reflected on Booking.com so that clients know what they are booking. And, in this case, I believe I deserve a discount / compensation.
