The beds are super comfortable, the hosts are very friendly and the location super idyllic, the scenery around is very nice. We loved the river close by. Don’t forget to check out the cider and rib place close by, it has amazing ribs, cider and local cheese.

“Good and simple / authentic country location. Visit the cider brewery next door for meal and tasting”

Country location beside a cider brewery which has a good restaurant. Train to San Sebastián is a 15 min walk

To be improved

Breakfast was just a cracker with jam and coffee. That was really disappointing. Not a big problem but hunters nearby were shooting something at 4am…

The owner of the property was extremely helpful in providing information about the many places to enjoy in San Sebastian. Her advise ranged from the best beaches to go, places to eat the authentic food of a particular location, places to avoid due to the high prices they charged, especially to tourists. The location I sought was a place in a semi-rural area with easy transportation into San Sebastian, Casa Rural was it.

To be improved

I would have preferred a more substantial breakfast than the usual continental breakfast. The owner made it abundantly clear that the breakfast was a courtesy offered without charge and for that I was satisfied with the offer.

“We loved this place and the owners were so lovely. That made our trip very special. We enjoyed being out in the country. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood where we saw sheep, cows and corn fields. It was a nice break from the hustle bustle. The owner was very helpful arranging taxes from their inn into town. Keep in mind, this inn is about 7km from town and the cost from their inn to San Sebastian is about 27-30 Euro.”
