“GreatForMoney”
It is a country house, a bit messy but very nice with kids. A lot of activities for them and space to run around. Everything was good! We had a great NY celebration!
The house provided only a limited amount of firewood for the stove, enough for just two days, while we stayed for three. Finding more during the holidays turned out to be impossible, especially since we discovered this issue only in the evening. As a result, the children were very cold on the last night and ended up getting sick. It would be better to provide a bit extra rather than barely enough—there’s no need to be stingy with such small things. As for gas, we were supposed to purchase it ourselves, but arriving for just a few days, we would have wasted half a day looking for it. It would have been great to have the option to pay the owner directly instead of spending precious vacation time on such household matters. The duvet cover was not put on, and there was only a sheet under the blanket. Naturally, the sheet moved around during the night, so by morning, everyone was sleeping directly under the blankets, which were likely not washed between each guest. This is unhygienic.
“Kid friendly, great fun, clean and no-frills”
- Very welcoming host, easy to arrange to meet and pick up keys. - AMAZING for young children, so many details to them and us all entertained - Clean pool - Only one shower but very clean and water hot and pressure good. - Very friendly host
- Address not clear on booking.com (seems to be a mix of two addresses), so it was further from Malaga than expected but didn’t make much difference in the car. - This is a no-frills accommodation, so don’t expect anything fancy. It still highly recommended.
“Great house, lovely outside space, friendly & helpful host.”
We had a very warm, friendly welcome from the host. This is a lovely family owned house with lots of outside space and not overlooked at all, very private. The hosts have obviously taken a lot of care to create a comfortable and attractive environment for holiday makers. Outside is lovely with lots of lights and different zones to sit in, there's a huge table to eat as a group, dart board, play area, table tennis, and projector we hooked the switch up to and played games together. The pool area is great and can be shut to protect children. The pool was clean and warm. I'd say a car would be essential when staying here. Malaga is about 20 minutes away and there is supermarkets within a few minutes drive. We had days out at Nerja, Aqualand, Rhonda, Marbella and Malaga of course. It was lovely to come back and relax with a bbq in the evening. There is mosquitos but the host does provide a number of repellents and we just kept windows and doors shut in the evening. There's aircon in the lounge and one bedroom and fans in the other rooms. We never found it too hot in the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would be happy to stay here again.
“Dreadful dangerous shambles of a property”
Absolutely nothing
No water for half the day, electricity kept cutting out. I was expected to call out an emergency electrician myself (I have the message from the owner to prove it) We left after one sleepless night. The furniture was old and homemade, mattresses were dirty and didn’t fit the childrens beds… Only one bathroom when advertised as two. The slide into the pool was wobbly and dangerous for children. I highly doubt the positive one word reviews were even real as I can’t imagine anyone staying here and calling this place ‘exceptional’. Read the real reviews on here and save your money. The owner wouldn’t give us a penny back, despite the electricity cutting out and the water being off for the time we were there. The road to the place was dreadful and the drive down to the property was dangerous as it’s so steep the car slides. Not a safe haven for a retreat as we had hoped, we wasted just under £2K trusting the reviews that were hoped were genuine, but I now realise they aren’t. No kettle, no oven, and if you are happy with having a bag of cat litter dumped in the corner of your lounge, then this is the property for you. I have photos and videos to prove it all. The place is a fire hazard, the air conditioning is rubbish and connected in an extension lead!!! It doesn’t even work well, and is only in two rooms. The childrens room had just a fan so was boiling! Cushions need throwing away…
