This property is the perfect place to unwind and escape busy city life. The house is very cozy, clean and well equipped. Carlos and Carmen met us upon our arrival and were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Their son Néstor was in contact with me and very responsive during our stay. We accidentally locked ourselves out of the bedroom and our hosts were so quick to resolve the issue for us. There is a SPAR in Tejeda (about 30 mins drive) where we stopped to get groceries as the house is in a very remote area. I would highly recommend staying here as it was such a lovely house in the most beautiful setting.

We stayed at Casa Rural Lomito del Pino for almost 10 days in the first half of January and loved it. The area where it is located (El Juncal) is splendid – a wonderful valley and a very typical village at the end of a nice small road of 3.5 km. The road does not go further than El Juncal. So, it is a very calm place. And the house is an even calmer area, as you have to drive about 500m on a forest track to reach it. The house is nice. Carlos and Carmen, the couple owning it, are not only charming but also very helpful. They offered us delicious vegetables from their garden and gave us very useful advice. There are dozens of great walks you can take, which you can start from the house; no need to take the car. Just one thing: except if you like driving, we suggest you buy food for several days before arriving at Juncal because the closest shops (bakery and others) are in Tejeda – about 14km, which on zigzagging Canarian roads takes a bit of time. We very strongly recommend this address and want to thank again Carlos and Carmen (as well as their adult children – Carla and Nestor) for their warm and friendly welcome.

The staff was excellent, the location was very remote and quiet. No phone signal so, no calls, messages, emails or nothing to worry about. Great get away and accomodations.
